Squishy glowy atom ball

Ball, Squeezy, Flashing Bead Ball, Display Box/12 This is actually extremely cool. I’ve been looking every where online for it, but alas, all I can find is this picture. Talk about addictive. It’s so squishy and glowy and flashy and did I mention squishy. I have one at work that I need to remember to take home so I can share it with Jonathon but I’m afraid I’m going to break it by the time I get it home.

Speaking of home- since I’m leaving for NY next week- I must come up with a local anchor so I’ll return to feed and love the animals that keep me.

SO- here is a list of my favorite things in Salem:

  • Chel, Jesse and V-Bear (my Salem friends and co-workers I’m closest with).
  • Squishy fun cool awesome ball that Brooke and Jamie got us because we’d keep playing with the one at Brooke’s desk =^_^= because it’s awesome fun and addictive! And now Brooke and Jamie are awesome(er) for getting us our own.
  • Love Love Teriyaki!!!

Yeah, that’s pretty much it.

I received Jonathon’s birth certificate today! The lady at Vital Records was a major bitch- took my money and basically said that if they find it, they’ll send it, if they don’t find it- no refunds. God I’d love to kick her in the shins. I now have one piece of paper showing my boy is my boy to go with the fifty pages of paperwork that show my cat is mine.

AND we’re just counting down the hours until we go to NYC where it’ll be a blur and we’ll be back here… in a New York minute. PLEASE MAKE IT LAST! We’ve been doing our best to avoid the illness that has been making its way through the dept. Considering everyone who has been inflicted, they’ve already had their sick days off… which leads me to believe that they had to have been contagious AT work, a couple of days before they became bedridden, which means if I were to have caught anything, it would have been late last week, early this week and symptoms would have developed by now if we caught it. My nose has been off/on stuffy for the past week, but I think my allergy meds has been keeping it at bay, and now it’s beginning to fade.

I think we’ve WON!!! I’ve also been spraying Lysol (thanks to Chel’s suggestion) every corner of the apartment every day. There’s also another trick I’ve learned from living in AK, no matter how cold it is, you must let air flow freely. You can always put on clothes and adapt to the temperature (to a reasonable degree for a certain amount of time), but warmth assists in bacteria multiplying along with close quarters.

Now that I’ve written this, we’re going to be extremely ill this weekend and crying like big babies. I don’t care as long as we’re in good health come Tuesday night. I’m not even thinking of the cat litter box that will be SO full by the time we return. I’m really not thinking about it. And I’m not sobbing right now. I am certainly not glaring at the cats…

Speaking of cats… Stan Lee has a new habit of attaching himself to my back. I feel as I’ve a huge furry growth. I will sit on a backless vanity chair and the next thing I know. Purring cat hanging off my back. I will sit in front of my mirror in the morning to put on my make up- purring cat hanging off my back falling alseep (he drops as soon as he sleeps or I swoosh him away after I ask, “What the hell are you doing?? OWW!”

And the cat helps me realize- what a glorious year it’s been. 2007- now. It started off with the unknown. A lot of changes. A lot of scary stuff. A lot of feeling so alone… and who’da thunk back then that I’d have the friendships and support we have now, two beautiful cats and a fish, going to NYC to see my boy’s face light up and meet his idols and I’m going to show him the East coast baby!!!!! :D

Who’da thunk? Certainly not me.
