For those who don’t Twitter/Facebook and you feel left out

Yesterday whilst pouring my coffee, I noticed my white board above my kitchen sink was looking really lonely and empty. After watching CH’s Dan do a real life Twitter in NYC (I applaud you still- that was great), I figured I’d status message update old school/the Amish way. I then realized if you just want to write some where what you’re doing and you don’t care to belong to some sort of social network- a white board works just as well sans the spam in your e-mail box… and hell, if you update as often as I do, most people ignore your status updates anyway, so it doesn’t matter whether or not you’re the only one who sees them.

NYC Comic-Con 09 w/CH

Depending on Jonathon’s surgery and recovery, I’m hoping to attend the ’10 NYC CC w/him and perhaps rent some equipment so we can do some impressive interviewing this time. My NYC cherry has been popped, so this time I can get down to business- and in addition, either promote Fam Z by then… or learn more tips and tricks of the trade for the best GN in the history of the drawn word!

The folks at College Humor gives us a peek into the February event this year.

Happy 10 Year Anniversary PPG’s!

It’s been 5 years since I saw a new episode of the PPG’s and pure torture knowing that Japan has had a new PPGZ version for quite some time. Currently I haven’t heard of any release dates for the English dubbed version- HOWEVER… I did find this English dubbed version clip (instead of choppy subbed versions). Enjoy =^_^=

8 Years Of Bush in 8 Minutes! ~Olbermann.

I saw this on a friends FB wall that was posted by their friend who probably had it posted by their friend… and so on and so on. In the tradition of posting- I’m putting it here.

Star Wars as told by Amanda

This was so cute I had to share.  Amanda is Joe’s friend. Joe is Amanda’s friend and she has only seen “bits and pieces” of Star Wars. Joe, in an attempt to entertain- asked Amanda to describe the original Star Wars Trilogy to the best of her recollection…  From Fishrockit.com

Here is Amanda’s recollection.

Torn Between Two Shows

scrubsI used to be a big Scrubs fan and I used to refuse to view American Idol. Last year there was a shift in viewership on my part. While Scrubs rapidly went downhill- Idol all of a sudden felt interesting… or removing myself from the dating world had finally kicked in and all of a sudden I found myself surrounded by cats and American Idol on the television… (definitely a result from the social life removal).

Scrubs premiered last week on ABC and I admit I felt disappointment in what I saw, but you never know, a show can do a great turn around and shock us all. American Idol is still annoying, lackluster, and most times it’s painful, but it is addictive.

While I sit here torn between the two shows, I’m looking at the book I just began to read “Next” by Michael Crichton :( (r.i.p.) and sadly I’ve only read it shortly before falling asleep and on my self forced breaks at work this week.

Addictive shows make me illiterate.

A show about doctors that is trying too hard to be over the top. A show about insecure people with a false sense of self that FOX has no problem assisting them in making spectacles of themselves.

Thankfully Wednesday isn’t Must See TV or TGI-Anything. Now back to the life sucking shows that secretly make me smile… and soon it’ll be a brain dead smiling drool.

My Apologies

I haven’t given this site much attention lately and I am sorry for that. I do have a Facebook account that I’ve been using a little more than I should… mainly because it’s so gosh darn easy to write little notes about myself, post cool articles I’ve come across and of course the famous status updates I tend to get carried away with… those lovely updates I can do from work, my cell, in space and during an out of body experience.

Since Multiply still hasn’t caught on and never will (my place of choice because the UI is so much better and there’s WAY better file sharing/customization/designs…) then FB is the only place I’ll do online social interaction (other than my website) with my friends and family and the few awesome people I’ve met through Arsgeek and here.

Anyway- I wanted to share my latest post which was done in honor of the yearly review at my work place. For my co-workers who are struggling with the terminology, here ya go ;)

Teaser

The Whiteman Brothers are at it again and I can’t wait to see their latest work in its entirety. I guess I’m going to have to wait because all I got was this little teaser that I nabbed from Jesse’s space. Maybe this is all I’m going to get- a trailer to loop for an hour and a half and make up my own story to go along with it. Perhaps it’ll be some wonderful Space SciFi fantasy piece where we discover that we’re really mutated souls on some in-between plane where live beings who look completely different than we do (because we’re now disfigured mutated souls… we’re what happens after you die) they’re telling chilling stories about us from tales that stem from a man who happened upon our kind several centuries ago- a rip the in fabric causes us to be spotted again and this time we see THEM. Our truth spilled into our world where we find the portal into death is what we’ve always thought was the beginning of life… or hopefully I can just watch the film when the time comes and not get into screen writing at all.

Here’s the trailer/teaser/they can see you and you can’t see them- you think you’re looking at a trailer of an upcoming indie film but in all actuality they just threw some thing together so they could steal your stuff while you’re not looking (I made that up I think)
