Has it truly been 17 days since I’ve updated this ‘blog/site/limited access into my brain/the smudged up window to my soul/money sucking hyperlinked vortex from which very little things of interest wind up being churned out?
I guess it has been! I can start pouring out the excuses as to *why* my site has been touched even less than myself, but it all points to boredom. I’ve watched many programs, had a lot of interesting conversations, I’ve read a lot of interesting articles- but the entire regurgitation into font felt tiresome. I might as well continue to copy and paste other peoples thoughts and or ideas.
The question I pose to myself, “Why continue to maintain this site?”
I actually asked myself the other day when I was scrambling to budget my living expenses with uncertainty of which month the quarterly auto-debit fell upon. “Your brain is on vacation still. It hasn’t even sent a freaking postcard or dropped a note to even say it was still alive! You might as well close up shop and call it a good decade.” I of course shot back with excuses, “It’ll be back! It’s just busy! It does love and miss me, it’s just too stubborn and pre-occupied to realize it!”
The whiny part of myself of course won and I’m glad it did, for I heard a knock at the door early this morning and when I opened up the door I found my mind in a beautiful little box wrapped up with a pretty bow.
Of course I’ve yet to open it because it’s probably exhausted from its travels. I figured I’d give it a few days before I tear off the ribbon and let it run free.
While I wait for it to wake up:
Here’s a list of what I’ve enjoyed in the half month: An Education, swapping SHO for HBO because the special SHO deal was about to expire and HBO’s special trumped the prior PLUS they have several more channels and shows that I haven’t watched, my new Blackberry- I named it Sven because it was white and Sven seemed like a Nordic name. I put a Tiffany & Co. theme on it which always puts me in my happy place, shiny new black nail polish- a bazillion colors out there and the ‘absence of‘ is the one I’m most comfortable with… it goes with EVERYTHING! …or is it ‘nothing’?, Sauvignon Blanc- I bought a bottle yesterday that I was going to enjoy in the evening, however, my son became extremely ill and I’ve been on ‘J’ watch the past 24 hrs (sleeping on the sofa with a ‘get up every hour on the hour’ to make sure he’s okay) he’s increasingly getting better- Anyway, my brain has to be sharp at all times and the wine can and will wait, Willy Wonka chocolate bars- Holy crub on a cracker they’re good! and last but not least… the latest Mr. Deity video:
