I posted a gripe about Monday and a friend chimed in putting a spin on perspective [by introducing fear]
The Facebook status update:
Dawn Masuoka Dear Monday, thank you for not spoiling me by making today slow and easy. I eternally hate you (with the exception of holiday Mondays- I love you then) ~Dawn
Responses:
We here at Days of the Week appreciate your input.
We are sorry you are not happy with the great service we provide. As Monday I try to make the rest of your week feel carefree and inspirational by making today bleak. I will forward your note to the board of directors where I’m sure they will give it ample consideration.
In the future may I suggest a flask of your favorite beverage to help you deal with my harsh realities.
Regards, Monday.
Dearest Monday,
I thank you for your quick response. You needn’t make your namesake quite so harsh as I appreciate all days regardless of the hell you wish to inflict up me. Please do speak to your board because as it stands, in anticipation of you- I no longer enjoy my Sundays and the angst you put me… us through, tends to spill over onto Tuesday. Surely you don’t wish for such a negative association with your surrounding kindred.
I would like our relationship to flourish again like it does on the holidays. Please ease up a little and spread some of pain evenly across the week [if you insist on doing so] so that the burden doesn’t feel quite so heavy after a weekend away from the grindstone.
Thank you again,
Dawn M Masuoka
I thought you should know that Monday was just named CEO of The Days of the Week. As such, Monday has handed down an edict that every day shall be a Monday for you. He kept saying something about all the hate e-mail and Facebook postings. I thought I heard him say that he will show you no mercy for your crimes. I better go before Monday catches me wri……………

Dear Monday,
So I thought it over and I realized what a spoiled brat I’ve been. You’ve been given such a hard rap because you represent responsibility and you’ve become a symbol for hard work and effort- the two things that are needed in order to make this a functional society. For you are the backbone of America and if the days were constant Saturdays we would not be the great country we are today. [strike up National Anthem]
From hence forth I shall appreciate you and give you the respect and praise that you deserve. From hence forth when someone complains about it being ‘Monday’ I will stand up for you honor and brow beat the jerk who tries to strike you down. I was born on a Monday! If it were not for you I would not be fair of face- I would instead be full of grace. And although grace is… graceful, it’s not fair. And what is fair? Fair is just….See More

So glad to hear you’ve had a change of heart. I will make every effort to recall the tactical team I dispatched to your home. It would appear that “re-education” is no longer needed.
Now say it with me….. -The streets will flow with the blood of the unbelievers.-
… Thank you Steve ^_^
