Why be in this mundane world when the surreal world in my head is so much more inviting, exciting, and not as complex?

If you had a male brain, then we wouldn't all love you as we do, now would we? Male brain ... ick! :)

I think that there are some conditions such as stroke that might be able to cause that symptom. I hereby dub it Male Invisibility Syndrome (IMS). "Oh, she has IMS. That explains why she never returns my phone calls."

While I admit that "baggage" can be undesirable from a convenience standpoint, the characteristics of the person carrying that baggage are far more important. In your case, the "baggage" has caused you to undergo hard tests, and because of the way you have responded to those tests I know that you are a very fine person indeed. I know that you had ways to escape, but you did not take them. If I didn't already know it, I could infer from your observations at the picnic that lesser people can't even be bothered to be tested at all. They fail without even trying very hard. Sure, it means that they have no baggage ... because they abandoned it. Are they more desirable because of that? In a superficial way, yes. It's easier to schedule dates with them, and such-like. But you don't have to get too far beneath the skin to see the rot.

And don't even get me started on your silly --- yes, I said silly --- assertions that you are somehow unattractive in a physical sense. Silly, silly, silly, silly.

Frankly, I can't begin to grasp why they (men) aren't lined up outside your door, fighting each other to get in. It must be your atheistic no-leeway call-them-as-you-see-them hatred-of-M-Night-Shyamalan attitudes. Even taking that into account, it's a mystery to me. The best I can figure is that they actually are out there, but that you just can't see them for some reason.
