Sneaking to the inferno pc

I keep the patio/windows open until 10 am with the fans blowing… dark curtains on the living room window/patio door… all doors shut… it’s still hella sticky hot. Yesterday it said it was 105.5- but I’m wondering if my neighbors window box airconditioners are making the air here even hotter. ]: Today is supposed to be worse than yesterday and tomorrow even worse (they say no relief at night and seriously… the humidity grew so much that I was a sweaty mess all night and morning despite fans on me.) Might be blood sugar too but I’m not sure. I drank tons of water, had tons of fruit. I’m just a mild temperature species I guess… or the colder grey days didn’t prep me for the slap of hot. If I hear people brag about their dry heat though… GRR! Although I suppose when describing AK- I discussed the dry cold. When I had moved back up there in February, I was so used to the humidity here that although it was -5 degrees, I had to take of my coat and I walked around sleeveless until I adapted. Maybe that doesn’t make sense… lol

I blame the heat. Jonathon seems to be doing fine and the cats are melted under the furniture. I’m fine as long as I’m in the center of the room on the floor with fans on me, although I could really feel the heat coming off the fans when I walk past them.

Any suggestions from you hot climate Rambo’s? ie things to use around the house to help with this? Hot weather like this does not happen often and my grey matter has melted memories of days past. Although I always lived surrounded by trees… had AC… or I was at work in an airconditioned building- However, I don’t think it’s been this hot since I lived here.

I am turning into the worlds biggest weather wimp! I need it mild at all times! I feel like those scenes of people melting on their porches in the South or steps in NYC. Think I’d get in trouble if I busted open a fire hydrant? One of the many things about apartment life that sucks… no hoses!!!! I guess in some places it doesn’t matter because they’re not allowed to use them due to a drought or what not. Not in this area of course… stupid hose users.
