Cruel. That’s just cruel and should never take place in any type of scenario… EVER!!! (the Bruce Lee/Rambo fight) I don’t ever want to know the outcome.

Buffy on the other hand, she’d kick both of their butts.

Oh yeah… well then why didn’t he do that to Luke? Ohhh no… Rambo would pull the element of surprise and create traps on the Death Star. He would use Vader’s force against him… some how. I’ve no idea *how*… but he would.

Right on all counts, except that Vader thing. Vader would just pick up Rambo and throw him down a well, where he would explode and flames would shoot out. Rambo would be his own 4th of July.

lol I didn’t mean “Serious about the couple” as implying that you did- I meant “Wow… some people.”

I still think he wanted to be down trodden so he could call his wife’s name in a crowd. *sniff* still touching.

So many years had passed since I had first seen the film, when I went to revisit it- it was a little shocking to view the end.. But his triumphs did seem to be his progression back into the ring.

I think they should have left it with just the one… like Star Wars- Personally I feel it should have stopped after The Empire Strikes Back. (although it wasn’t really a dramatic film… but I love Star Wars and I like dropping it into a conversation when ever I can.)

No question whether or not Rambo could beat Vader- Vader rocked, but he was destroyed by Luke. ‘Nuff said.

Well, I didn’t make the story up, but I don’t vouch for it being true.

Rocky has to lose, or else the story is completely unbelievable, and when it becomes unbelievable the emotional impact is gone. Stallone was smart to write it that way.

Exactly- that’s what made the first movie so great, but Jonathon said he never gave up… he got better and won! (plus he has the Rocky video game and Rocky *always* wins in that.

Serious about the couple though? Obviously they didn’t watch the movie lol unless they wanted poverty to bring them closer *sniff* as he’s yelling through the crowd “Wife’s name…. WIFE’S NAME!!” (I don’t know his wife’s name).

The Rocky vs. Rambo question puts me in mind of something that happened when Rocky (the first movie) was popular. There were TV news reports about a down-on-its-luck married couple who had been so inspired by the movie that they decided the only way out of their problems was to take every bit of money they could find and buy lottery tickets with it. Like Rocky, they were sure they could beat the odds and be winners.

As the news commentators pointed out, they had forgotten only one thing: Rocky lost.
