Actually I’d take some good news, but no news makes for a peaceful day none the less. I do have a sprained wrist and hurt back I’m nursing and trying to find a non-painful way to type… it started last week when J’s powerchair crubbed out at a torn up part of the sidewalk and I had to get him over it with the heavy chair and no power… didn’t think about it too much. But after a week of lifting him and and pushing his other chair around town (I’ve opted to walk to save gas until I can get back on my feet or find some sort work I can do to pull in income- anyone know how to set up a successful online store? Mine sucks) SO today I had to go to a series of stores in the five mile radius around here in order to get supplies for Jonathon and tonight my wrist is feeling the impact pretty bad.
My wrist isn’t swollen, but it sure feels like it should be. Gonna do the ice ice baby tonight. Thank goodness I still have an ice pack in the fridge.
Here’s my flavor flave (I’m going with a new slang style) Death Note and Death Note 2. I’m trying to use my Netflix for all it’s worth in the remaining time I have paid on my account and these two films came recommended by them based on my past viewings. I never heard of the Manga series so I didn’t know this was the live action movie based on it… I was clueless until a few moments before I popped them in and read the google results. O M G. One of the best sci-fi(esque) films I’ve seen in a long time. I am thirsting for part three which is no where to be found in rental land.
I admit that the first 15 minutes had me thinking it was going to be a run of the mill boring mystery flick, but I was oh so wrong- and my biggest sorrow was havingĀ to return the films.
‘L’ Rocks.
Tonight while I’m icing my wrist… and hopefully playing some online Scrabble (I love it because you play one word per day if you’re busy… via FB and have multiple games going. I have 3 active games going and I think it’s about one move per 5 hrs so far -typical rate)
I watched the WonderWoman animate film this evening which was good- but I was mentally distracted and only saw bits and pieces. I *think* it was good. And then tonight I have Righteous Kill. All films are let down since Death Note this week. I watched Doubt last night and it wasn’t *bad*, but it wasn’t what I was in the mood for. It came out kind of bland and no big shock of shocks.
I wish I could cut off my wrist and cradle it until it gets better
… oh yes, I’ve also had insomnia the past few nights… could be why I’m wanting to cut off my hand at my wrist and rock it back to health. It’s not even productive insomnia. It’s laying in my bed feeling miserable because I’m not sleeping insomnia.

I didn’t know there were live-action movies. There’s a Death Note anime series which I like a lot that has been through several showings on [Adult Swim]. It doesn’t seem to me that they could really do L properly in live action, so I’ll be interested to see it.
I need to watch the anime version to compare- which I NEED to do, any clue if they have any online? You *must* see the live action… lol I guess… I still need to see the anime, but on Netflix, die hard fans of the anime loved it. I was shocked to see both get the highest star rating of most films I had rented from all genres.
‘L’- genius, but quiet, socially awkward, awesome, sweet tooth, kind of pasty… he rocked though. He was soooo eccentric though that it was hard not to watch him. Just his mannersims although subtle were interesting.
Aha… for those who want to watch the Anime… http://www.deathnote.tv/list.php
