A Woman’s New Toys!

blackberry-frontWell I’m not *poor*, but I am a one income family and I don’t have any credit cards to buy shiny blingy things with- so I’m very careful how to spend my money. I’m happy :-) I don’t go searching for the latest and newest gadgets out there, but when I happen across one for a really great deal, I’m very appreciative.

THIS is why I was very excited to get a Blackberry Curve 8820 for $40.00 because it had a cracked screen (that only cost $4 to replace).

It is *so* awesome! I didn’t even pay attention to the features of these phones previously because I knew I wouldn’t be able to afford it and I didn’t even see a need for them. I have a laptop and desktop at home, I have a computer at work- why would I need a Barbie sized laptop? I just want a phone… that works… Screw that! OMG I don’t even really need to be on my computer any more except to update the website and watch movies!

I know it’s old hat for a lot of people now… but it’s new to me. I get an alert when I have mail, Facebook updates etc. and I just casually check everything through the phone’s application.

No more messing with the stupid key assignments to house multiple letters on one key. I could never get the hang of it, not to mention my finger nails whittled down with each use.

Between borrowing the DS for awhile, my new stack of cool books, my graphic novel and now the Blackberry… (oh, and work and caring for Jonathon and everything else…) it’s been difficult keeping up with the site and e-mails. I’ll figure out how to find balance. I’m sure Blackberry has an application for it.
