Have you ever had one of those evenings that off sets the evening that follows? I’m currently residing in one of those ramification nights.
Last night I was watching Heat. For those who have seen the film, it’s pretty freaking long to watch on a work night. Well I’m a woman of great stamina (or so I thought). I felt I could endure the movie because it’s a newer classic that I hadn’t seen it in ages and a settlement with Netflix prompted to throw something in my film queue and I felt like the hours would just fly by. Ha! Sometimes my ignorance amazes me.
Now if you’ve been following my little blogs, you’d know that I had recently given up the cigarette smoking and I’ve been working out… a lot. During the first half of Heat, I did my work out during the viewing of the film and with much sweat and fatigue (because I had done my walks earlier in the day and did a strong work out the night before) just shy of ten and slightly half way through the film, I was exhausted.
Tonight I did my work out during the remainder of the film… and then turned on my second queued film “Definitely Maybe”. It’s cute… so far… but my fatigue from last night and tonight (coupled with my endurance building walks earlier today and all week) has me pressing pause and heading to sleep fairly early for a Friday night.
Why must I blog about this? I have a new found fear that I will never sit through a full film again, I am now doomed to watch half movies for the remainder of my life. Everything from hence forth shall be a two parter.
Most people will shrug and not see this as a huge deal, but twice the film will cost twice the money if it’s in the theater.
I guess tonight I can say that I watched the second half of ‘Heat’ and ‘Definitely’ tomorrow night I’ll view ‘Maybe’.
